Meeting in Beijing with French President François Hollande for the COP21

Visit of French President François Hollande and France's Ecology Minister Ségolène Royal at the embassy for the COP21

The EnvIM Students were invited Tuesday, November 2, at the French embassy in Beijing for the visit of French President François Hollande. President Hollande stressed the challenges to tackle in order to organize a successful COP21 and pointed out the importance of negotiations with the Chinese Government to achieve global environmental protection.

France's ecology minister Ségolène Royal also played a key role in the organization of the Paris climate conference. The EnvIM students had the unique opportunity to exchange few words with her about the main points of their visit. As well, she was really interested to hear about the EnvIM Mines ParisTech-Tsinghua University partnership program.

It was also the occasion to enjoy French food while meeting deputies, company CEOs and members of the French Community involved in sustainable development.
